Bay Area stand-out Gina Kehr won the Uvas Triathlon this past weekend. Gina was 2nd to exit the water behind the lead male, first to exit transition, let the early miles of the bike, and eventually finished 1st female and 6th overall. For those looking to improve their transitions, you have to check out Gina in one of her races. 3rd or 4th female out of the water in last year's Hawaii Ironman, Gina also catapulted out of transition to lead the early miles of the bike....not too many of us can lay claim to leading that race. In the don't try this on your own realm of transitons, Gina has a patented T1 transition (which I discourage btw) where she runs with bike and shoes attached and then executes a flying no-hands mount. The first time I saw that one I sat there pondering whether or not my eyes were deceiving me. Bay Area athletes can look to see Gina at Alcatraz.
