This past Saturday, Feb. 28th saw 64 weather-hardened Bostonians take part in Ryan Davenport's, an m2 alumnus, epic Computrainer Indoor Time Trial event. After spending the preceeding 3 months chained to their indoor trainers, all participants were eager to strut their stuff in front of an elite group of area peers; while perhaps not as lean and suntanned as their westcoast counterparts, the New Englanders "let it all hang out" while racing each other on a very challenging 15k rolling CT course...while they all started out quite pale in color, they finished were "redfaced" and snot-ridden to a person... The day's event saw HR's flying well above the L1-L2 ranges, as most athletes, including the Big Daddy himself, watched their HR's escalate to dizzying heights that brought everyone to wonder "oh my God, I can't sustain this for 23 minutes"... but indeed sustain they did, with an especially impressive performance from Karen Monks' M2Boston crew coming off a month of relatively low intensity indoor workouts.... Monks knew her crew would leave nothing behind in their efforts, and she was delightfully rewarded as her own Dave Kane, aka not only took the overall win, but smashed the existing course record by 25 seconds.... The M2B crew suffered their way onto the leaderboard, on both sides of the gender ledger which drew quite a complimentary "Ah So" from The Mill Valley based Master himself... Congrats to the following M2B grasshoppers... Dave Kane...1st overall Dave Dornaus...4th overall Big Daddy Carmen Monks...10th overall Alec "helmet head" Petro...12th overall
